Motivational workout wear can inspire you to keep moving. We can all use a little help with exercise motivation. It doesn’t matter whether you’re working out to a DVD-based workout program in the privacy of your home gym, or in a public space. It’s still important to take those small, extra steps that inspire positive feelings about working out. It’s been my experience that motivational workout wear is an important component to an exercise routine.
Wherever it is that you prefer to exercise, now is the time to give yourself a self-esteem boost. Wear workout clothes that make you look and feel good. All you need to own are two or three outfits that are simple, comfortable, and fit well. Try a tank in a bright color, paired with a darker yoga pant and your cleanest sneakers or athletic shoes, depending on the activity. Perhaps it’s a pair of brightly colored flip flops for a dog walk on the beach!
The cut of your workout gear should cover enough of you that you never feel exposed. Workout wear also doesn’t need to be so large that you feel like you are under a tarp. For example, swap the XXL giveaway T-shirts for lightweight, zip front track jackets that can be opened to reveal more, as your body takes on it’s new shape. Instead of oversized, bulky sweatpants, opt for a thin, drawstring lounge pant that offers the full coverage of a pajama pant.
It’s not necessary to go to great expense by buying brand-name athletic gear. The idea is that when you look good, you feel better about doing anything–even if it’s an activity you dread. High performance can be inspired by high style and results that stick.

I’m not sure what motivational workout gear is, whether it’s a specific brand or style. In general, classic workout attire is motivating because it tends to be loose – but stylish and made with soft tactile fabrics that feel comforting to the body, which affects our overall mood enabling exercise to feel natural and desired

Agreed! Workout wear that puts you in a good mood and makes you feel comfortable helps with motivation, Mashal.

For me I need some fitting capris that kind of “suck me in” and are bright colored. My tanks have to be bright colored too. Something about having loud/bright colored clothing when I work out makes me feel upbeat. Ohhhh and another must is a great sports bra and underwear that don’t ride up into areas they shouldn’t be 🙂

So funny and so true, Jen! Comfort and bright colors always work for me, too.
