One Powerful Sentence To Repeat When Creating Your Purpose

We all want the opportunity to follow our dreams and create purpose in our lives because it gives us meaning.
When you are immersed in your purposeful role as an empowered and supportive wife, you rely on your own internal dialogue, with a determined conversation that starts with:
[‘SELF? I can handle whatever life puts in front of me because I am capable and confident!“]
Healthy self-talk is an important component in managing your marriage, your family, and your personal goals and dreams.
You know you were created for more–more purpose!
My last blog post hinted about something else that can happen along the way in the pursuit of creating your greater purpose:
You can find yourself in the midst of a major challenge or crisis.
All of a sudden, something shifts.
You know you were created for more, but maybe not THIS:
. . .Maybe a bad medical report has shifted your plans.
. . .Maybe caring for a loved one has shifted your priorities.
. . .Maybe a wrong turn has taken you off course in the pursuit of your dreams.
Be forewarned: Negative self-talk can creep in to your internal dialogue during moments of challenge or crisis to sabotage your plans, priorities, and dreams.
But the good news is this: you and I are not alone, regardless of where we are now, or where we started out.
And the other good news is this: negative self-talk can be replaced with an alternative talk!
None of our experience is wasted!
Consider Barbara Corcoran, ABC’s Shark Tank personality.
Barbara Corcoran started out as a waitress.
A waitress is a noble profession, but Barbara Corcoran knew she was created for more.
She had a vision to become more: to be her own boss and to co-found a real estate business.
But she didn’t start out that way.
Back in her waitressing days, I think she may have been a lot like you, and a lot like me, in developing a philosophy that started with an internal dialogue.
[“SELF? What CAN I do now?“]
As revealed in my book, Kick-Ass Corporate Wife, Barbara Corcoran had an “earn your seat,” mindset.
“No one can tell me I’m not welcome here,” she said, “I have a right to be as successful and as rich as I want, and I’m working my buns off.”
Taking that first step toward creating your greater purpose might require that you work hard while changing your internal dialogue at the same time.
Barbara Corcoran’s early days as a waitress were not wasted, and she probably encountered many challenges and negative self-talk along her path.
She went from hard working waitress to American businesswoman, investor, speaker, consultant, syndicated columnist, author, and television personality on ABC’s Shark Tank.
Barbara Corcoran is living proof of my mantra:
There IS more. Become more. YOU are more!

She was created for more.
And so are YOU!
So how can you change your internal dialogue, during challenging times, while working hard at creating your greater purpose?
In my personal experience, I have discovered that human weakness provides the ideal opportunity for the display of Divine Power.
I discipline myself to change my internal dialogue by consistently tapping into my greatest source of strength: my faith in God.
One special tool I have implemented, and want to share with you, has proved helpful for me in changing my internal dialogue.
To give credit where credit is due, a simple Divine Power statement was suggested to me this past year, during a personal coaching session with Fighter Pilot and Internationally Recognized Consultant, Ed Rush.
Here’s what I do to implement this special tool, and how you can too:
You can set up one powerful sentence to pop up on your cell phone, with an alarm, every morning at 8:00AM.
You can (preferably) speak it out loud, or just say it quietly in your heart.
It is one powerful sentence to repeat when creating your purpose:
“I AM more than a conqueror.”
Speaking this sentence each morning has transformed my view of every day challenges.
In my free Kick-Ass Corporate Wife Encouragement Guide, you will find many I AM statements.
But this ancient phrase from Scripture has power!
Will every day you speak these words be a walk in the park? No.
But even on the toughest days, you can speak these words, build your ambition, know where you are going with purpose, and step forward from a position of empowerment.
Your marriage–and YOU–can both become more!
Your greater purpose creates more meaning in your life.
I promise that if you follow the blueprint of Kick-Ass Corporate Wife, and give this simple Divine Power statement a shot, you will be empowered with even more confidence because you tried.
We all want to have a greater purpose in our lives because it gives us meaning.
The next time you’re in the midst of a challenge, let your internal dialogue reflect capable confidence.
You ARE more. . .more than a conqueror!
